Beginning on Monday, August 17th, 2020, the Carle Road entrance to Carle Place Station, on the south side of the tracks, will close in order accommodate ongoing construction activity at the station. The Garden Avenue entrance, which had been closed previously, will reopen at this time.
The below notification provides additional information from the MTA, including a map detailing station platform access. We urge commuters to allow for extra time during this closure.
The Carle Place station is undergoing a complete reconstruction, part of improvements to stations happening across the LIRR Main Line corridor. Station enhancements at Carle Place, which were developed in coordination with the community, will include platform canopies and new platform furnishings, along with amenities such as benches, shelters, signage, and CCTV security cameras to improve safety. There will also be ADA-compliant mobility improvements, including elevators and ramps, as well as free public Wi-Fi, USB charging stations, digital information displays, new bike racks, and MTA Arts & Design artwork.
