Beginning in August 2019 the existing pedestrian bridge will be demolished; the bridge will be replaced with a new bridge and ADA-accessible elevators beginning in October 2019.
The construction of the Stonehinge Roundabout, which will facilitate passenger drop-off and pick-up, is expected to be completed in early 2020.
Other improvements to Carle Place Station will include: platform canopies; new platform furnishings and accouterments including benches, shelters and signage; CCTV security cameras to improve safety; ADA-compliant mobility improvements, including ramps; free public Wi-Fi; USB charging stations and digital information displays. New bike racks and artwork will also be installed.
