Sound walls have been delivered to a staging area east of Floral Park Station and are being installed. The retaining walls enable the LIRR to build within the right of way, and the sound attenuation walls will serve as a barrier for train noise. MTA and LIRR worked with municipalities along the project corridor to select the design and color of the walls.
