Significant progress is being made on the LIRR Expansion Project and 3rd Track Constructors (3TC) wants to make sure that you’re aware of an upcoming road closure in Floral Park, which is needed to accommodate work on the South Tyson Avenue Bridge Project.
On or about Monday, July 8th, South Tyson Avenue, under the railroad tracks between Tyson Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic between 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The closure will last approximately 5 weeks.
Detours have been established to help get around the closure.

- All traffic and pedestrians will be directed to Tulip Avenue
- The construction team will provide cones, flagmen and signage at the work site to minimize interruptions and to direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic
What: S. Tyson Ave Closure
Where: Between Tyson Avenue and Atlantic Avenue, under the railroad tracks
When: On or about Monday, July 8th through Early August
Time: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
